my very first office

Hi its me ..

I realize that a desk in a room in not a big dea,l but i really wanted this office. I mean REALLY wanted it Ok I’ll say it. I manifested it.

Im in week 4 of my Philosphy Phridays immersion, and we are just finishing up “the first six” of the Gita. The cliff note version is the focus on the individuals discipline and conflict.

I create my own conflict. The more I try and control my life or doubt myself the more I feel powerless. I was ashamed to want more. I do things I want to do and have a great life. I felt i had to prove my worth ~ with an office- (clearly this space makes me feel more professional in my career.)

So over quarantine I would “decorate” my office. What desk to buy, how to face it, how excited i was when i got my lamp at Ollies ( the place is a whole other conversation )

And then i would sit in meditation. I would sit in the sun while visualizing how iI would feel in the space. This new space to have people come here for private sessions or coaching and a place do my Zoom classes.

I did not come here to hold back but for expansion. I was not made to be mediocre. Neither were you.

“Prosper in the performance of these yajñas (sacrifices), for they shall bestow upon you all you wish to achieve.” BG3.10

I sit in meditation everyday. Sometime just a few minutes at a time, usually int he morning but now i find i do it more often I have the time, or more appropriately I make the time

If not the doubt in my mind s loud.

The Bhavagad Gita goes into great detail the importance of meditation That there you can hear your soul. And when your soul is awakened you will begin to understand you needs and strengths and passions There is a way you can figure out a way to achieve them. You set these visions or roadmaps. You start to gather your talent and skills. And all of this without your ego getting in the way. The work continues, the HARD WORK for success to endure.

Here's where it all comes together.

The Power of habit. Habit is the choice we all make, deliberately at first and them you stop thinking abut ir but you continue to do it.

Break the suffering

All of you life this far has been a mass of habits.

Maybe it is just a desk in a room, but for me the just another step in the way I choose to live. Yoga is a habit that can change your life

take the new offer

I was scared of accepting the new role. Move to the shore for a few days a week away from my bff Forrest. I was also scared of not taking it – of passing up the chance to make a impact. But I had to
